I just inherited a customer who has a Panasonic DBS 72 phone system with a PanaVoice voicemail computer. He had problems with the fan on the computer, so he took the cover off and put in a different fan, no problem. However, when we tried to check the voicemail with an incoming call, it did not pick up. Well I found that the modem card was slightly out of the socket, so "Little Johnnie", (the customer) decided to just push in back in without turning off the CPU. Well after the pop, and the infamous smell of burning bakerlite, the CPU shut off. Duh... I was able to reset the CPU, after inserting the modem card, however still no voicemail. Before I go any further, I need to mention that this system is feeding 4 phones... Yes I know upgrade to TDA, however being penny cheap as he is, he would like me to exercise every angle first. Here it is: Will the TVA-50 intergrate with the DBS phone system? I don't think it will, but I need to know if anyone has had any success, and if it is worth the time and effort....

was the original voicemail running off the analog ports
if so all you need to know is message light on and of sequence (access codes)I wouldn't go crazy i'dd put a tvs-75 or 50 on there!!

I know if it was an analog port, it would work, however it is digital.

can you add a card to the 72 for single line sets
can you light lights on keyset's with a slt?
can you put 2 or 4 slt's on the 72 in either a circular
or terminate hunt group? does the slt provide any progress
tones ? cpc on slts? start reading the book....
if you need the docs let me know i'll post the link!

Thank you for all of your help, as it turns out there are a lot more problems with this system then I was originally made aware of. I am finding this out with the more that I visit the site. Customer purchased a system which was outdated when he bought it, now after talking to several other vendors, is going to upgrade to a new system. Thank you again for your posts.
