hi experts,

I created the 10g Oracle-Suggested backup job and it ran as scheduled for a long time. It runs under my credentials.

Recently I had to change my domain account password and the backup job has failed since doing that.

I've changed the login in Preferences --> Preferred Credentials (in OEM). That's been done but the job still fails with 'invalid password".

Seems I remember there are 2 places the password needs to be changed at.

Other than in Preferred Credentials, is there any other setting I can check?

Thanks, John

When you created the job you may have supplied the "prefered credentials" and then checked the box "Save as prefered credentials" therefore the job kept these creadentials associated to itself independent from the EM credentials you saved.

You may need to create the job again without entering the "prefered credentials" to force use of the registered credentials.

Does it make sense? [3eyes]
