Hi,
Got a strange problem with one PC and a database we have, the database is Access 2000(SP3) and the PC is Windows XP.

on one form we have a listbox, and if you double click on an entry it opens a different form, on all PC's except one this works fine, but on this particular PC when i double click on a entry it just brings back approx 10 parameters, then the debug window and its highlighting the double click code. I've double checked the code and it looks fine ( it must be OK as it works on every other PC )

So my question is does anyone know what could cause this, maybe a windows/office update or a activeX control not registered or something similar?

I've not posted any code as I dont think this is the issue, but if you need to see anything please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Mick.

do you need to check off any Library references? You didn't mention what the error was ( and number).

Hi Ziggy,
You were right it was a reference, the DAO3.6 library was MISSING, although the dll was in the correct directory? so all is working now.

Thanks for your help with this.

Mick.

For people searching later...

If it is not a reference, occasionally bad things happen with some video drivers. It never hurts to update them. Same goes for input drivers (mouse and keyboard).

While this is likely not to be the cause, it is on the kitchen sink list.

One other OS related issue you might have is the double click rate setting under mouse in control panel may not be set to an ideal level. In this case you would be clicking twice instead of double clicking.

Access related issues... The file is corrupt. If it is a FE, replace it with a good file OR Backup and "compact and repair" the file.

And of course, the code could be bombing if there is a missing reference.
