Hi,

I have dbimport problem with error when importing data
error :

*** put loadcur
1213 - Charater to mumeric conversion error

as the data is export using dbexport, do not know why
this is happen? DBexport the one is exporting the data but
with this error.

Any way to upload the data?

Thank for reply,

I never use dbload before, Can i use dbload to load file
that export with dbexport? Can you show me a example of
the command? I actual find out the problem why i have the
error, because the table that content chinese charater and
some of the charater that in chinese is '|', dbexport use
this as columun separator. Do you have any work around to
upload the data without problem.

I look on the GLS manual for dbexport said that " You can use
delimited identifiers with the dbexport utility" but how to use the command?

Hi
Theres an enviroment variable callad DBDELIMITER with which you can set the delimiting character.
If you ara running UNIX as OS you can set this variable in .cshrc or .profile depending on what kind of shell you are using.
in csh syntax (.cshrc):
setenv DBDELIMITER $
in sh syntax (.profile):
DBDELIMITER=$
export DBDELIMITER
This will make informix use the $ sign as delimiter.
