Did I get a corrupt version of vb 6 enterprise or is it normal to get a liscensing error when you try to use the microsoft dbgrid that is in the components area. If I don't have a liscence for it why is it their. If I can't use it does that mean I will be forced to learn ADO to use that dbgrid? Thanks for any help anyone might be able to provide.

dbgrid in vb 6

It doesn't mean that you don't have license for dbgrid to use. This is must be something wrong with registeration of that component. Do you have VB 5.0 before VB 6.0 version on same machine. if not please install VB6.0 again and check the same problem.
Have a look on the VB6 CD - is there a registry file in the directory where you found the .ocx for dbgrid?
