I have a DBEdit field bounded to a numeric field of a table.
The field's DisplayFormat property is defined as #,###,##0.00.
When I entered 12346.78, the number on the form would become 123,456.78. So far, so good.

However, when I change the value from 123,456.78 to say 123,000.00, I get this error:
"123,000.00" is not a valid floating point value for field "…".

I have to remove the "," before the value will be accepted. Can I make it to accept values with or without the ","?

Thanks

Joe

you should create a mask for that field and set the MaskNoSave for that field to false to skip the literal characters.
