I am using the DBCA to make a template (including contents) of an existing database, and then produce a copy of that database with a different name.

The creation works fine, but during the creation I get 35 error messages which are either
<code>ORA-03114 Not connected to Oracle/<code>
or
<code>ORA-01935 missing user or role name/<code>

I get plenty of useless hits on Google. Can anyone help and/or advise me as to what this means, <i>in the context of using the DBCA/<i>?

I don't know why but had something similar in a test environment on all original databases, I just ignored it, in fact I think that if I used thae same template for another dbase creation, errors may have been eradicated. Databases have been running OK for 1 year - Solaris9 / Oracle 9.2.0.4.

Guys,

I'm using windows server 2003 and 9i2.

The metalink document about this is clear as mud - quelle surprise....

Thanks for looking into it.
