DBC213 Authorization Problem

I have a digital DBC213 extension on a BC9 CNI81 site which I cannot dial out on (I can recieve ok). The phone simply says "Enter Author Code" in the display. This happens even when ANY key is pressed. There are no Regional or Central Auth codes set. I have tried setting a code and using *73*code# to try and unlock but get nothing. Am I being thick or do you think there may be corruption somewhere.

If phone is locked the default/minimum category is used .
Change this to something reasonable and see .

Also don't you unlock by #73*auth code# ?
*73*code# is to lock it...

looks to me if like your left function key is permanently pressed , try to replace the phone and see what happens.
