Not possible to use BusinessPhones digital telephones in MD110
All BusinessPhones digital telephones have been equipped with a Software Code Protection (SCP). If a digital telephone for BusinessPhones 250/50 is connected to an MD110 PBX, the phone will not work. However, if an MD110 digital phone is connected to a BusinessPhone 250/50 PBX the phone will work without restriction.
Since the introduction of BC7.0 when the Dialog 3200 family was released we have implemented an SCP in MD110 preventing the use of telephones specified for BusinessPhone. This SCP was communicated out to the market via the BC7.0 Product Launch document.
By mistake, this protection (SCP) was not transferred to later releases, which caused problems in the market.
This protection has now been improved in BC10 as well as previous releases.
Please note that the BusinessPhone digital telephones have not been included in MD110 hardware lists for any market, meaning that there has never been any support on such telephones, even if they coincidentally have been working.
