Hello Everyone,

We are using dBASE IV to print Labels to a Impact Printer. When we are printing the numbers don't fit exactly in the space provided on the label. I have tried going into the "Control Center" to modify the Report that has all of the Label info. When i was modifying the report I managed to more the Characters over to the left so it would fit on the label. I have saved after the changes have been made and tried to print but everything still comes out the same. This might sounds confusing, but if you are a dBASE GURU or know what I'm talking about could you please get back to me it would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Do any options in the report form designer's menu say whether there is a margin set? If you find it, lower the value. That's the best way to do it.

If that doesn't work, does the program or prior programs or the overall language setting file CONFIG.DB have the following command? If so, try lowering the value, but beware that changing the value at a higher level program or across the entire enviroment might mess up other reports, etc.

I don't know if your "Control Center" is a custom program, but I guess you could try inserting code like this around your call to the report form:

Code:
nOldMargin = SET("MARGIN")
SET MARGIN TO 0
<< REPORT FORM myReport >>
SET MARGIN TO &nOldMargin
dbMark

I have no idea where the Margin's could be located. I'm new to this program...
