Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and tried a quick search for this problem, but didn't get a hit.
I've noticed that certain operations don't work while running dbase IV in a dos box in win98. It seems to be related to some kind of file pointer problem on larger hard drives.
For instance, I can't zap a file or reindex on a particular win98 machine with a HD larger than about 10 GBs, but copying the file to an older computer running win95 with a smaller HD (< 1GB) and zapping and reindexing works.
Am I missing something, or is this a real limitation with dbase IV and win98 running on larger HDs?
thanx
John
