Hello,

After programming extensively in "RAD" environments like Java I had occasion to create some xBase applications. Pretty much nothing more than dBase III compiled with Clipper.

I was completely astounded at how fast I could create and maintain this application! With only a few commands I could do what would take Java entire class libraries. :)

Is there a base 32-bit GUI xBase solution? I am almost wishing for a stable dBfast for 32-bit windows. I am not looking for a monster RAD environment. Harbour + FiveWin seems to fit the bill after a quick search.

Thanks for your advise,

Michael

Lotus Approach is a very powerful database program that uses dBaseIII or IV databases as its default format. It comes as part of the Lotus SmartSuite. You can get this software on discount sites for under $50. If you are using Windows XP you will need the 9.7 or 9.8 versions. Earlier versions are not stable on XP.

Sue thanks for responding,

Can you create royalty free applications with Approach?

Thanks,
