Hi everybody,

Anyone have personal preferences on current tools that would make every Oracle DBA's job that much easier? Meaning, I go to a client site with my laptop and once I get on the desired network I am set to perform my tasks.

I have used TOAD, DBArtisan and OEM but was looking for any other suggestions that I have not come across.

Thanx,

JB

For 'offensive' SQL I use SQLab, for Blocked sessions and space management, I use DBGeneral The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold

jimbopalmer,

I know SQLab is from Quest software but is DBGeneral from Bradmark?

And if so is it now known as DBControl module?
Or has it been integrated into teh NORAD suite?

Thanx,

JB

Yes Bradmark, no idea if it changed names after I bought it, sorry. It finds blocked sessions very well! The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold

You can give a look at BMC patrol. Good software. Too bad I.T. is not cash business
