Hi ,

I have db2 7.1 on aix +ibm content manager + workflow + etc

The PROBLEM WAS THAT once in production it was told that that content manager images were not opening .

So i checked the cpu processes

ps -ef | grep db2sysc .

There were many of them running .But it is unsual as only one per instance only one has to run .But i found
many OF THEM 4 - 5.

WHY IS THIS DB2SYSC COMING UP ALL OF SUDDEN AND WHEN THESE EXTRA PROCESSES DIED THE PROBLEMSOLVED .

BUT WHY SO MANY DB2SYSC ??????????

Do you have the same flavour of unix running on production as your testing box. It could be you need to run something like db2ptree as not all version of ps command work as you would expect regards db2sysc.

Please post more info as regards your environment and maybe look up db2ptree.
