Hi,

A connection problem popped up when I ran my report in the report server. My datasource is using a DB2 database and is connected thru an ODBC with a connection string - "Provider=MSDASQL.1;Persist Security Info=False;Data Source=IBMClient". The error says;

Cannot create a connection to data source 'IBMClient'
ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Same report works fine in the report deisigner, I just don't know why I lost connection when it got deployed to the report server. The report server and IIS is local on my machine.

Your thoughts on this one.

Thanks.

Make sure the ODBC driver is installed on the server. If it is, I would ask you if your driver is 32-bit only, and your server is running 64-bit, wherein it will not find the 64-bit driver.

I noticed in my SQL Server 2005 setup that I have a pending reboot of my pc after installing sql server. I rebooted and the problem went away. Thanks anyway riverguy.
