I have tried to ./setup and I get an error that I do not have libncurses.so.4

I am using Red Hat 7.1

I have libncurses.so.5 and everything I have read mention DB2 and then getting the .rpm file to install so.4

How do I do this? Has anyone else been through this?

Mindy

Hi,

I think you'll find you just need to install the ncurses4 compatibility rpm --> ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/7.1/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/ncurses4-5.0-2.i386.rpm .

When I go to that link, it brings up a page in Netscape that has this on it:

What am I doing wrong?

Mindy

I was finally able to drop it to a floppy from a windows machine and install it on my linux machine and now I get an error from the application ./setup saying that it failed to retrieve the product information file.

Mindy

I got it working perfectly by re-unpacking the tar file.

Thanks for the help folks!
