From experience what are/is considered the best way for SQL Server and DB2 to pass information together, and what are the best tools. We are looking at providing the DB2 side some views of information and the same for SQL to DB2. We were also considering the possibility of having some db triggers push some information from SQL Server to some staging tables in DB2. It looks like from the SQL Server side we can utilize the OLE/DB drivers that are included with SQL Server. Is there something comparable on the IBM side? I have heard websphere mentioned, but also heard it is pricey. Any info appreciated.
