Hi all, I need to import data from oracle or sqlserver in my DB2, can anyone help me?
Thenks in advance Alex

which OS are you using your DB2, and what DB2 version?

And will you have direct access to your Oracle or SQL Server or will they need to unload the data into a file for further processing by the DB2 database?

If if you have access to the other DB's, will you be able to do a upload from external_db->DB2 should it prove easier and faster to do?

Hi Frederico,
the OS version is V5R1 and the DB2 version is DB400.
Can you explain me(with an example) how I can get data from the other DB's using DB2.
Thanks a lot for your interesting
Alex.

For generic DB2 help see
To do it from the DB2 side see and

If sending the data from SQL Server to AS400 its a lot easier, as you can use DTS packages very easily linked to iSeries ODBC/OLEDB provider (supplied by IBM).

As for Oracle it will depend on the OS used, and Oracle Version. If windows then same principle applies.
