Can I use crystal to report directly from a mainframe db2 file?

Yes, just attached directly to it without the use of a DSN. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

You can also create and use an ODBC connection to your db2 database. That is useful if you want to use the Crystal SQL Designer.
