Hi,

We have some strange situation.
After we runstats for the database, and we try to run db2rbind for the package. System gives us some error message: database manager can not be started.
There are 2 instance running on the same box, and I login as instance owner to run this rebind command.

OS : aix 5.3 TL 3
DB2 v8.1.1.96 fixpack: 10

Thanks,
Denny

Somewhere (in some diagnostic info) there should be a reason given why the database cannot be started. . .

Have you opened a trouble call with IBM/DB2 support?

If not, it is probably time to do so. . .

We do not have extended support contract with IBM for this version.
Something is wrong with the environment. If i login to system as root, then su to db2 instance owner, you can run the db2rbind command with no error.
And as db2 instance owner, you can bind the package one by one, but can not run one time bind for all package.

Thanks,

thanks for the help.
It turns out a wrong file permission.
