Hello All:
I am new to DB2 UDB on AIX having being Oracle DBA for some time. I am looking for equivalent of the following Oracle/Unix commands for DB2/AIX.
signing into database from unix prompt in differentn ways depending on user priviledge.
-sqlplus scott/tiger@ORCL
-sqlplus system@orcle
-sqlplus / as sysdba
Other DB2 equivalent commands that I am interested in:
-VERIFY ALL INSTANCES ARE UP
-LOOK FOR ANY NEW ALERT LOG ENTRIES
-VERIFY DBSNMP IS RUNNING
-VERIFY SUCCESS OF DATABASE BACKUP
-VERIFY SUCCESS OF DATABASE ARCHIVING TO TAPE
-VERIFY ENOUGH RESOURCES FOR ACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE
-COPY ARCHIVED LOGS TO STANDBY DATABASE AND ROLL FORWARD
Please note that I have searched the web with no success. I am looking for succinct commands that will allow an Oracle DBA to pivot to DB2 DBA successfully.
Thanks in advance
