Hi db2 gurus,
I have an application sent sql requests for db2 DB. While the db2 server is running the queries, the application process ended, but the queries are continues running on the db2 server.
Does db2 has some kind of utility to detect if the client still exist while it is running the queries ? If the client process has ended, then db2 should kill the queries related to that request.

Thanks.

Phil

Unfortunately, DB2 is not smart enought in many occassions to shutdown the process when the client application dies ...

You'll have to issue force application commmand ...

Supposedly using the DB2 governor should give you a handle to limit query time for certain application. I haven't gotten around to it, but since I last intercepted a query that had been running for 48 hours, I think I should.....
