Hi folks:

I got db2 6 and db2 7 , each installed on 2 seperate servers
We are using Brightstor open Files to backup system
But we are not using any module to backup db2 databases
(any way, brightstor does not support db2).
On C: i have installed the system (windows 2000) (ntfs)
On d: db2 and websphere and data (ntfs)

I want to backup the system and partition D: using Brightstore, but happens with the db2 databases and logs...
when restoring they will be in a corrupted state
(do they ??). I should backup db2 database and logs seperate but what happens if one day i restore everything
and how about the logs and database files ?? should i stop the db instances and restore them from a seperate tape ??
or will the files get corrupted by Brightstor anyway ??

please help
thanks

sidney
