Do I need to buy the enterprise-level version of DB2 in order to serve up a DB2 database on the web? Or could I buy the personal edition of the software - create the database - put it on my server - and then access that database through ColdFusion pages (using ODBC driver). That is something do all the time with an Access database. No database server software (which I assume is why the software is so costly and called enterprise-level) or licenses are needed for that.

Which is the cheapest version of DB2 that I can use for the backend of a cold-fusion powered website. Workgroup Edition?

Any comments you could give me on this would help me greatly.

Thanks David
