Hello,

Tried to do a migration on the weekend with our main trucking software. It ended up failing. I was told by our provider that since 2008 Server specifies IPv4 and IPv6, DB2 8.2 will not work since it can only specify TCPIP and no version. Our clients were not connecting to our DB because of this.

I was told to migrate to DB2 9 to stay on W2008 server, or install W2003(64bit) and use 8.2

Does this make sense? can anyone verify or add to the explanation?

Thanks
Matt

you can always try and disable ipv6 on the server if you dont need it. Not much more I can say, as I dont have one w2008 available at the moment

I did disable the IP V6 and it did not work. When you do an IPconfig on the server, the IP shows up as IPv4. I am told that is where the problem is.

has anyone else come across this?
Matt
