This is bizarre! I have created an Access 97 DB that works fine on my PC but which gives a compile error (compile error in hidden module)when transferred to other PCs in our team. All PCs are essentially identical Dells wih NT4 SP6, the same version of Access and much the same other software installed.

Any idea where I should start looking for the problem?

Many thanks

Rick

goto each of the pcs, and if u can goto a code window.
Choose Tools and references and uncheck any item that has 'Missing'.

Thanks, Nick - we tried that and all was OK. Now we are struggling!

Can you see the code that is causing the error? Try going to Debug>>Compile All Modules and see if it shows you the code that's causing the problem. It does sound like a references issue. Have you checked all the references? Make sure that each reference is identical between the two copies, including the file names listed at the bottom of the references window. If you can find the code that's causing the error, post it.

Thanks guys - problem solved as it was a piece of rogue code that created an ID table - but the data was not present on the other PCs. It was a piece of code picked up in an edit process. Lesson learned - re-use of code from other databases always need a careful check!

Many thanks
