So, I am looking at building a new DB server and am trying to decide between 15k RPM Ultra 320 SCSI drives and SATA II drives. my understanding is that he IOPS for the SCSO are much higher (like almost double) that of the SATA II drives. Does anybody out there have any concrete experience with the difference between these two setups in a transactional environment?

Thanks!
Willie

You'll want SCSI drives over SATA for a production system.
