Hey folks,
Had a little party today. Accpac froze while posting the GL portion of an AR batch for one of our accountant types. What I did:
1 Backup of DB!
2 Found the AR batch and changed status from posting in progress to deleted
3 Checked GL and AP to see if any other transactions were stuck (nope)
4 Had the accountant check that batch and any other batch posted since then to see if the right thing happened.

When he posted his first batch in AR since I touched the DB he received a regular batch posted window but the first entry was "failed pcsStart" or something. I renamed ACCPACDATA\SITE\restart.ism and now everything seems fine. Is everything fine?
thanks

Look in the ARRSTRT table for any restart record information in there as well.

There is one row there... it is from this event based on the audit stamp. The data portion is a hex string with maybe 30 interesting byes and the rest zeros. What should I do with this thing?

Thanks folks! It looks like everything is copacetic.
