I created several reports using Crystal Reports, but every now in then, the following message appears.

"ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed
The database has been placed in a state by user "Admin" on Machine "DataEntry" that prevents it form being opened or Locked."

Is there something I can do in Access to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Are you using Windows NT/2000? This can happen after a compact/repair and the permissions on the file are reset. Check the user security on the folder where the mdb is residing.

We're using Windows NT 4.0 server. Also, I DID recently compact the database. How do I "reset" the security? Does it have something to do with the LDB file?
