Can JS be used to open a db connection and update tables? If yes are there some code samples around?

Thanks

I'm about 99.5% sure that you can't really do it, but if you find a way, please post it here. I searched for a couple weeks

Well, I know it can be done with ASP (VB). I was just looking for an alternate way to do it with JS code cause I sometimes have trouble getting the VB code to work right.

That would be a whole new world for me. Doesn't AJAX imply .Net and aspx? I looked at .Net and got really frustrated quickly.

Just for the record ASP is NOT just with VBScript. All the ASP I write uses JScript, and not a bit of VBScript.

AJAX isn't specific to any server technology. Check out the AJAX forum for more information, or Google AJAX for tutorials.

I wouldn't claim to be an expert on Ajax, but I find it perfect for working with Javascript/PHP and MySQL
