If you are using Mercator's Database Interfaces Designer product to query an oracle table then perhaps you can help me.

When I use DBI to select a field from an oracle table the
MAP is giving me an error that it could not find the
<CR><LF> character or terminator in the row.

Does a simple SQL select statement supposed to do that?
Is there a change I need to do in the type tree?

I'll appreciate you help on this regards.

Thanks.

Did you generate the type tree from the query within Database Interface Designer? If so, by default the row format is set to delimited and the row terminator to <CR><LF>.
When you use the database adapter it returns rows with <CR><LF> as terminator.

Janhes,

Thanks for the info but I already found the answer. The person
who installed Mercator 5.0 in my PC did not install the service
pack 3 hence I'm getting an error. Once I intalled the service
pack, the mapping did what it supposed to do perfectly.

Thanks.
