Days of the week - beginner

I have a request to poll sales data for a year and group by days of the week, i.e. sales trends for every monday, every tuesday, etc., throughout the year.
I'm a beginner - could use some help on how to do this...

If your data contains a date field you can create a formula {@DOW} and use:
DayOfWeek({tablename.fieldname})

I think you could then group by {@DOW}

BTW: DayofWeek returns the Crystal day values with 1 = Sunday, 2 = Monday, ... 7 = Saturday
