I have a question about the new Daylight Savings time changes that will go into affect in March 2007. I have checked Sun's web site and it looks like there is a timezone patch 109809-03 for Solaris OS 5.8 which we run on the client workstations and server. Is there any other OS patches that need to be installed on client workstations and servers other than the one listed?

Thanks,

Paul

I believe, any Solaris 8/9/10 machine, may it be workstation or server must have the 2 required patches installed.
I know at least for Solaris 9, if you have the latest cluster patch, you will have the required timezones patches already.

if you are running Solaris 8, you need:

109809-02 (or later)
and
108993-52 (or later)

ALSO NOTE: these patches have to be installed in single-user mode, followed by a reboot.

I see you have -03 on your initial post, I have a Sun doc stating, you only need 109809-02. Of course, if you have -03 installed then your set already for that patch.

hope this helps
Dave
