Daylight saving path using WSUS 1

How can I make sure that DST patches for Windows 2000, XP, Server 2000 and 2003 has being synchronized by WSUS?

I also have a patch KB831167 for IE 6 SP 1 which is approved but a window popup on users computer to let them know that updates are ready to be installed. All other updates installed without any notification but for some reason this particular upadate is not getting installed. It's the case for only few PC's same update installed fine on other PC's. What's the fix for this?

I don't know if WSUS handles DST patches for Win2K3/XP, but there are no MS patches for Windows 2000, therefore I doubt WSUS will be deploying them for you.

WSUS will distribute the XP/2003 patches for you but as itsp1965 says there isn't a free download for 2000. Your options are to A: apply a work around or B: pay MS for the patch.

To find if it's synchronized the patch go to the updates tab in the WSUS console and search for daylight saving, you should see Update for Windows server 2003 (KB931836) and Update for Windows XP (KB931836) listed.

For 2000 pay for it or manually change the time on all PC, right? Is there any other option?

Option 2: DST update

For customers who prefer to have a hotfix, Microsoft lets customers purchase all DST 2007 hotfixes for $4,000, for affected Microsoft products in Extended Support by using an Extended Hotfix Support contract. Customers will only be charged a single fee of $4,000 to obtain all hotfixes needed to update their systems for DST 2007.

It looks like MS have provided the .reg file and .vbs script to import these serttings at start up so it shouldn't be too much effort to make the changes.
