Hi,

I've come across a strange problem.
When I run a dayend from an Accpac workstation machine (workstation setup) nothing gets processed and no error are shown.
If I run the same dayend from a workstation that has a full Accpac installation (same as the server) everything runs through just fine and I can see my batches in AP.

Any ideas on this?

sorry....Accpac 5.3B, latest service packs and running on SQL 2005

Could be one or all of the following:
a. Not all modules have been installed on the server
b. Not all service packs have been installed on the server

Hi ettienne,

I just did an update with recent service packs on the server a few weeks ago and there is no difference between the modules installed on the server and any workstation.

I've got several machines installed as clients (workstation setup) and they all can't run a day end. All fully installed clients can...

If all the clients (workstation setup) do not run day end, then that is a BIG red light that something is wrong with that install.

Ok...I found the solution now.
Problem was a file called PO.ini.

I can't explain why but the one on the server was older then the one the clients with the full Accpac setup. I copied the PO.ini to the server and the dayend was working on all clients with workstation setup.

But hit another problem then. Couldn't print PO-Report - Error LoadLibrary message appeared.
Somewhere I read I need to comment out 'type=DATAPIPE in porpt.ini.
So I went there and did so for every type=DATAPIPE I could find. Now everything appears to be working again....

You only need to comment out 'type=DATAPIPE' for the specific report, for PO's that would be under the [POPOR01] section.
