DAY END PROCESSING INTERRUPTED - PROBLEMS

I hope someone can help me, and soon!
We have two computers networked together in our office. Mine, and the manager's.
I do the invoicing (in O/E) and when I'm done, I do a Day End which sends the info to the manager's computer for retrieval.
Well the other day I was doing a Day End, and halfway through my computer froze.
I had no choice but to shut it down manually - nothing was working.
The good news is...the manager's computer retrieved the information intact and all is well.
The bad news is...it will no longer let me into O/E. Every time I try, I get the following message;
DAY END PROCESSING WAS NOT COMPLETED.
DATA MAY BE DAMAGED. RECOVER FROM BACKUP.

I can only select "continue" which takes me back to the main menu. It simply will NOT let me into O/E.

The only AccPac repair guy within a 100 mile radius is in Aruba for the next two weeks, and in the meantime I cannot do any invoicing whatsoever.

Can anyone help me?

Oh, I'm using AccPac Plus v 6.1 for DOS.
Thanks!

HI jcrothall,

Try running a data integrity check. You may have some corrupt data. You can find the data integrity check by using the F#3 and choose "One start Item" and do an integrity check on OE only.

Then check if you can go back into Order Enrty.

If you cannot, do you know if you have "Fix It" installed in Accpac ?

Hi,

It is a simple problem really. The system will halt on any error in day-end. The solution is to change an offset in the oeglob. you can do this with a hex-editor (ie.hexworkshop) by changing offset 689 from 1 to 0. If you like you can mail the file from your data (OELGOB.DAT) to me ernm@hotmail.com and i will change it for you and send it back.

Regards
