I have a ACS r7 and Partner Messaging r7, Have the day mode set to 4 rings and works right, can set night mode to what ever I choose , have tried 1 2 and 3 but it always is the same as day, takes 4 rings before hitting AA
PM set to follow bus sched, which it does, recording changes at sched change to night.
I have VMS hunt sched set to always.
Any ideas or another glitch in the R7 509,it was flashed up to latest ver.

If I remember correctly, the only way to change the number of rings for the evening is via a Night Service button.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Dexman,
I have numerious locations working via the business schedule on the Partner messaging, but with ACS rel6, and they all follow the ring pattern for day and night programmed in #507,this is the first ACS r7 I'm using with the Partner messaging using the business schedule , I know that my other ACS r7 using night button follows the settings in #507, trying to find out if others have had trouble using ACS R7 and PM R7 not following the settings in #507 when using the Business schedule.

I'll be curious to see what others have to report.

My experience with the R6 processor coupled with an R6 Avaya Partner Messaging was that the Business Schedule switched only the greeting and selector codes. No matter what I chose for #507 the number of rings used the Day Menu value unless I programmed a Night Service button.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Paul (Dexman) is right, that's the way it's always worked.

The Night Service button controls the number of rings before answer, and can control the message, if you are set to follow the switch mode.

If you are set to follow the weekly business schedule, the NS button controls the rings before answer, and the schedule controls which message answers when it gets there.

Thank you for the clarification TTT! [bigsmile]

Dex and TTT-
Your absolutly correct, I pulled up the other systems and see that they are all using AA for day so the rings are set the same for day and night at 2 rings, this customer only uses the AA as a backup to the receptionist hense the difference in rings, guess I'm getting CRS, guess this customer will have to live with the extra night rings since he was adament about no night key.
Thanks again!!

Maturity is so overrated! [wink]. I'm lucky I can remember something I did an hour ago. [cry]

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
