guys i need to create a poll in flash..a couple different ways..

poll#1..a question that has four possible answers..when polled it rolls over and gives the user the statistics of that poll( ie: yourquestion 48% )..

poll#2..a lottery so to speak..have the users answer questions to the best of there ability..need flash to keep track of the people who answers correctly and show the top five..by the end of the week the top five contestants compete in another series of questions to see who wins the prize..i could work out the final quiz off, of course once you show me how to do the first test..

any ideas?.

a little..and plus i am using one of daves scripts..if you have time though i would appreciate a detailed explination on how to do this from within flash..if say for instance you wanted to create a couple really cool fla's for someone to learn from that would be awesome..one of each from the above polls needed..it would be much appreciated..like i said i can use someone else's script but i would like to understand how it gets done and be able to modify and create my own..

so if you have some time man..and ya wana pass on some knowledge..

Is this poll going to keep scores for the week (in a database or whatever) or just be a kind of "use and keep your own score" kind of thing?

Any details on question types etc. would be really helpful too. I've got some time over the next couple of days to see if I can come up with something.

the first poll i'm guessing you understand what i need..just some questions when answered rolls over and give you the %'s of answers..and a button to move it back to the poll frame..

now for the second poll( the test)hopefully would end up something like this:

say i have a test each week( changing from week to week of course )that is multiple choice..say five questions with each having four possible answers..when the user takes the test at the end of the test flash will keep score some how of the percentage correct..maybe they would have to sign up some how for the test ( inputting info through flash so it knows who they are ? )so we can show a list of the users and the position they are in, 1st, 2nd,3rd,etc..is that enough info? and as far as the type's of question's you can make whatever you want..just so i can see how ya did it and go back later and add my own..now when you say database i'm sure it would take some,but not quite sure how you would get it..so far in my brief career in web design i haven't ventured to far away from flash, and dreamweaver, or hand written html..so i'm lost,i understand there has to be a data base to handle this but not sure how to write the data handler..i am corfortable as well with installing cgi scripts and things like that..so if that helps..

like i said above man this will just be a continuing game held weekly for small prizes on a maintenance website..hammers,drills,saws,etc..things like that..so whatever you could come up with is cool with me..if you would just make sure you lable and/or illustrate what you are doing and how you did it..you know for the stupid ones like me
