ok guys, a text button that on mouse over the button does a 360 degree backwards spin. on completion of the rotation i want the text to change colors. when mouse rolls off the button i want it to return to it's normal state in the same matter but in reverse. is this possible. dave/old?

2 movie-clips, one for the text one for the button.

>>button>>ok, create a new movie-clip, and tween your graphic to rotate say over ten frames between two keyframes. Insert a new layer. Copy the tween you just made and place it into the new layer beginning at the END of the first tween. Now select the new tween, right-click and select 'reverse frames'. Insert an action layer at the top of the timeline, insert two stop actions, one at the beginning of each tween.

>>text>>create your text and turn it into a graphic, do the same as above but with alpha settings.

>>invisible button>>create a new button and in the first frame insert a transparent rectangle. Come into the main timeline again.

>>set button actions>>on rollover tell both clips to play, on rollout tell them to play again.

It's possible... But it's going to be jerky, 'cause depending on how many frames you want to do this thing, a quick roll out after a roll over will interrupt the first spin backwards and force it to spin forwards. Forcing the animation to complete it's spin backwards before it's spins back forward will cause other problems... As you may discover if you decide to go ahead with this.

B-)

PS: Still ain't there yet on the other thing... An I have to go out! Sorry!

old's right
You're gonna have to use variables to do this properly. I'm off to bed for the night, so I won't be back on for another 16 hours. If old hasn't come up with the solution I'll post one tomorrow after work.
