Hi all,

I have an application where I'm extracting data from a SQL Server db and building a series of Excel spreadsheets. Several of the dates in the db are in the 1800's and are being dropped when I bring them into the xls.

I don't have the ability to change formats in the db, but need to have a way to correctly show the values in the spreadsheet.

Thanks in advance.

Why do Dates and Times seem to be so much trouble? faq68-5827

You may have to store year, month and day as separate values in order to perserve the ability to sort and compute dates.
