DateModified Field problem

I have created a dateModified field to a table & onto the form.
I created a macro ..action: Setvalue ; Item: datemodified
expression : Now() & used the BeforeUpdate event.
However the date only appears when a new record is added & not when a field is edited. Pls help!

Did you try putting code behind the AfterUpdate event of the field? Ann
