Date/time to Date field conversion

Hi.

I need to use DATEDIFF function to count week difference between two fields.
Problem is that my fields are Date/time form and function can use only Date form.
Does anybody know easy way to make a conversion so i could use the DATEDIFF function?
Or do you know any other way to count the week difference
between Date/time fields?
I have version 5.1.2 patch 1341. (I know this is easy in later versions)
