I have a datetime stamp field being created in a CRM application. I am using Crystal 8.5.

Crystal will only recognize the field as a date field and automatically truncates the time. When i look at the data in SQL or access the time stamp is correct. i have tried to convert to datetime but it sets all the times to 12:00 AM. Does anyone know how I can get crystal to show all the data so I can start to add and subtract them.

Any help is always appreciated.

A crystal report normally has defaults for the format of the different types of field. Right-click on a field and choose [Format Field]. It's well worth doing a few experimental reports, just to see what's possible.

You can set the rules for all future fields by chooseing File > Options > Fields. But note that this may change when the same report is run on someone else's machine, which may have different values set.

You should be able to compair data even when it's not displayed. Look up DateAdd and DateDiff, both of which will work with hours or minutes as well as longer periods of time.
