Date - Time Picking - Control

I've found a number of popup calenders that can be used in my application but I am looking for a date AND time picker so that the control contains the full date - time information. This is critical as starting and ending times can cross dates and easy of entry is a concern. Any ideas? Links? Thanks.

What you're after is the Date Time Picker or 'DTPicker' which is found in the 'Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2 6.0(SP?)' library.

The actual filename is 'MSComCtl2.ocx'

If I'm not mistaken you only have rights to this file if you're using the Microsoft Office Developer's Edition.

I do have the Developers edition (Access 2000) but it doesn't show. Any ideas? I am new to this. THanks.

When you click the 'More Controls' button on the 'Toolbox' toolbar it will appear as 'Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP?)'

If it's not there the .ocx file is on the CD, just do a search for the MSComCt2.ocx file and copy it into your \Windows\System directory (NT-based systems have it in 'System32') and register it using RegSvr32.exe:

C:\Windows\System32> Regsvr32.exe MSComCt2.ocx

***Note that I spelled the file name incorrectly in the previous post - there is no 'L' before the 2 (8.3 name).


Here is the list of controls that are included in this file:

You should be missing all of these controls from your list if you don't have the control installed.
