The Processor is a ACS R1.

Shouldn't the voicemail get it's time and date from the ACS?

The voicemail anounces the default date/time of Jan 1 and 12am for all messages.

PMVS R5 should get date/time from telephones. I have had the same issue- re-enter the date/time on the phones and it should fix it from there.
 
You may need to restart the system, with #728, OR, you may have more than the actual voice mail ports set up in Hunt Group 7. The system uses the 1st extension in the hunt group, and the 1st port on the voice mail to communicate the Time/Date, and Day/Night status. Does it ever take more than one ring for voice mail to answer when you are logging in to check messages?
