Date/Time in FTP on Solaris 8

Hi Everyone,
Is there anyway to force the FTP dir command to return a full date/time from a Solaris 8 server? Or to get the MDTM command to work over FTP?

afaik the in.ftpd does not return the full date/time string, but you can replace it by the WUftpd
