Greetings All,

I moved an NEC Aspire over the weekend. Took it down and put it back up. The date and time came up january 01, 1999. How do I change the date and time? And what kind of battery does it need to keep date and time.
All other programming remanined. Thank You.

Quaz

CR 2032 is the battery.
To set the system Time:
1. Press idle CALL key.
2. Dial 828.
3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour clock, 13 = 1:00 PM).
4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00-59).
5. Press SPK to hang up.
The date must be set in system programming (10-01).

Thank you, Belvedere. Do you need an app to program system parameters or can I do it from a phone?

Quaz

Belvedere,

Does the battery just keep time and date set? Some systems will lose all programming if the battery dies. I'm sure you know this.
Can I replace the battery without fear of losing everything?

Quaz

One lithium battery (Sony CR2032 or equivalent) which provides battery back-up of
system data and RAM memory for approximately 30 months.
Date can be programmed through telephone programming, or search the web for the Aspire maintenance program. (Aspire PCPro).

How to Enter the Programming Mode
To enter the programming mode:
1. Go to any working display telephone.
In a newly installed system, use extension 301 (port 1).
2. Do not lift the handset.
3. Press CALL1.
4. # * # *
5. Dial the system password + HOLD.
