I have a form with a subform and a macro button that displays a report with only the current forms data. However when the report opens i want to ask the user to enter a start date to limit the data again by the date field on the subform.

Could someone tell me what the [event procedure] would be and if it belongs on the button properties or the report properties.

Thanx
Donny

Depends where the data for the subform comes from. If it's a filter, should be simple.

You could put unbound textboxes on the main form (I'll call them startdate and enddate), and put the following in the criteria box of the date field on the filter:

Between [forms]![mainformname]![startdate] And [forms]![mainformname]![enddate]

Or if it's just the startdate;

> [forms]![mainformname]![startdate]
