I am new to Cognos 7.3 and would appreciate feedback on the following :
I have a calendar date dimension with multiple categories as seen in the diagram in powerplay transformer. One of the categories is "yesterday" which shows pertinent data ( orders, etc) for the previous day. The problem is on a monday the "yesterday" would show up Sunday's data which is all zeros. The need is to either modify the "yesterday" category or create a new category within the calendar time dimension so as to reflect previous business day. So if a user refers to yesterday in cognos web he should be able to see data for Friday rather than a Sunday.
I tried creating a calculated category but with no luck as the range of functions or operators are limited to the date operation. Is there a way to use Impromptu to build a macro perform the date math and import it in the calculated category?
Please suggest any alternatives.Thanks!
