ok so i have a report with a paramater for a range for dates.
how can i on the report header pull the dates i entered in the paramater boxes when opening the report.thanks

Set the control source of a text box to:
="Between dates " & [Your first parameter] & " and " & [Your second parameter]

the paramaters i use which are dates are not stored any where in the database. i am just confused on how to enter that into a control source when i cant see those dates. the only time i enter these dates is when the i view the report. i have it to ask me for location,a date range and some other things. please explain in more detail. sorry that i am retarded

You probably have something in the criteria of your query like:
Between [Your first Parameter] and [Your second parameter]
I can't tell what you have because you haven't shared your paramaters i use. Just use the parameters in your control sources.

BTW: You should really get rid of all parameter prompts in favor of references to controls on forms.
